세계 최대 암호화폐 거래소 바이낸스가 FTX 인수 철회 의사를 밝힘에 따라 암호화폐 가격이 또다시 폭락하고 있다.

세계 2위 거래소 FTX 파산설이 유력해짐에 따라, 어제에 이어 비트코인 가격이 10% 또 폭락했다. FTX 구세주였던 바이낸스가 FTX 인수작업을 추진하지 않는다는 발표에 따른 여파다.

암호화폐 가격 폭락 사건의 발단은 11월 2일 코인데스크에서 알라메다리서치(Alameda Research) 자금 집행 능력에 문제가 있음을 지적됨에 따라 시작됐다. FTX 자매회사인 알라메다리서치의 대차대조표가 이상하다는 이유였다. 알라메다 리서치의 부채가 자산의 54%를 넘었고, 자산의 상당 부분이 FTT (FTX 토큰)이기에 FTX 거래소까지 위험에 처할 수 있다는 내용이다.

11월 4일, 더티 버블 미디어(Dirty Bubble Media)의 마이크 버거스버그가 “알라메다리서치 망하냐? (Is Alameda Research Insolvent?)”는 트위터를 날리며 사건이 일파만파 퍼졌다. 6일 캐롤린 엘리슨 (Caroline Ellison) 알레메다리서치 대표는 100억달러 가지고 있다 ($10b of assets that aren't reflected there)고 사건을 무마하려 했다.

하지만, 세계 최대 암호화폐 거래소 바이낸스 (Binance)도 가만히 있지 않았다. 7일 창펑자오(Changpeng Zhao) 바이낸스 CEO는 루나 사태를 교훈 삼아 FTX토큰인 약 21억 달러 상당의 FTT를 매각하겠다고 트위터에 남겼다. 이에 지지 않고, 캐롤린 알라메다 리서치 대표는 창펑자오 FTT를 $22달러에 받아주겠다고 자신감을 표출했다.

우려했던 사태가 발생했다. 바이낸스로 5억 8,400만 달러 상당의 대량의 FTT가 입금됐다. 코인러들은 리스크 관리를 위해 FTX에서 돈을 출금하기 시작함에 따라 암표화폐 가격 폭락 현상이 발생했다.

사태를 잠재우기 위해 장펑자오 바이낸스 CEO는 FTX를 겁주려고 장난친 것이다. FTX를 구제하기 위해 실사 및 인수를 검토한다고 발표했다. 하지만 발표 하루 후 바이낸스 능력 밖이라는 이유로 인수를 포기했다.

인수 포기 소식이 전해짐에 따라, 암호화폐는 또다시 곤두박질 치고 있는 중이다.

Binance withdraws plans to acquire FTX. Cryptocurrency is plunging due to concerns over FTX bankruptcy

Cryptocurrency prices are plummeting as Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, has expressed its intention to withdraw its acquisition of FTX.

Bitcoin prices plunged another 10% following yesterday as rumors of the bankruptcy of FTX, the world's second-largest exchange, became likely. This is the aftermath of the announcement that Binance, a former FTX savior, is not pushing for the acquisition of FTX.

The start of the cryptocurrency price plunge began on November 2 when it was pointed out that there was a problem with Alameda Research's ability to execute funds in Coindesk. The reason was that the balance sheet of FTX sister company Alameda Research was strange. Alameda Research's debt exceeded 54% of its assets, and a significant portion of its assets are FTT (FTX token), which could put even the FTX exchange.

On November 4, Mike Burgersberg of Dirty Bubble Media twitted "Is Alameda Research Insolvent?". On the 6th, Caroline Ellison, CEO of Alameda Research, answered ">$10b of assets that Aren't reflected there".

However, Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, did not stay still. On the 7th, Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, tweeted that he would sell FTX tokens worth about $2.1 billion, taking the Luna crisis as a lesson. Caroline, CEO of Alameda Research, expressed confidence that she would accept Changpeng Zhao's all FTT at price of $22.

A worrying situation occurred. A large amount of FTT worth $584 million was deposited into Binance. Coiners have begun withdrawing money from FTX for risk management, causing a plunge in ticket prices.

To quell the situation, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao played a prank to scare FTX. It announced that it would consider due diligence and acquisition to bail out FTX. However, a day after the announcement, the company gave up the acquisition because it was out of Binance's ability.
